Faisalabad is a city of Pakistan, which is located in the province Punjab. Its old name is “Laielpur”. Faisalabad is ranked as the third largest city of Pakistan. Faisalabad is an important industrial city of province Punjab and Pakistan.  The old city Laielpur was built in 1880. After the birth of Pakistan, Laielpur progressed very quickly and played a very key role in the progress of Pakistan and then it became the important industrial country of Pakistan. The name “Laielpur” was replaced by “Faisalabad” in 1977 by the government of Pakistan on the name of Shah Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz who was the late king of Saudi a Arabia. There are eight administrative towns in Faisalabad and neighboring towns are also linked with the city district government of Faisalabad. The popular educational institute of Faisalabad are:  Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, Punjab Group of Colleges, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Government College University Faisalabad, Government College of Technology, Faisalabad, National Textile University, University of Faisalabad, Faisalabad Institute of Textile and Fashion Design and others. Faisalabad has several popular and interesting places for Tourists such as: Jinnah Garden, Sindbad, China town, Gumti water fountain, Faisalabad railway station, Victoria memorial chowk and others. Faisalabad International Airport is a major transport link of Faisalabad with other places. Faisalabad Central Railway station is the important transport link, which plays important role in the transportation from Faisalabad to other cities of Pakistan.
