Day Pakistan
Independence day of Pakistan is celebrated on 14 August every
year since 1947. In Urdu language it is called as Youm-e-Azadi of
Pakistan. Independence day of Pakistan is celebrated because Indian Muslims got
freedom from British rule. The celebrations of Independence Day start with the
fireworks and flag hoisting ceremony in all major cities. Different shows and
cultural activities organized through out the country. Guard changing ceremony
occurs at Mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam, who was the founder of Pakistan and the
great leader of Muslim league, struggled till the last moment for Pakistan.
At schools and other
educational institutes children sing patriotic songs and present tab blow and
perform other activities. Important buildings and place are lighted up. In
Islamabad in the beginning of the day delivers speeches and addresses to the
people of Pakistan and make them remember the message of Quaid-e-Azam. A time is
fixed for the national anthem of Pakistan and at that time every one stands up
and sing national anthem.
