Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan.
It was constructed in 1960 by the government of Pakistan in order to fulfill the
need of a safe and secured capital city. Islamabad replaced
Karachi city as a capital of Pakistan. As Islamabad is an
artificial city constructed by government, so it is quite different from other
cities of Pakistan. Islamabad is a modern and advanced city its
commercial area is called as Blue Area. Islamabad is
surrounded by beautiful Margala hills these hills are the homeland of several
wild animals. Islamabad has a very large and beautiful “Masjid” named
Fasisal Masjid that is gifted by King Faisal. Climate of Islamabad remains
extreme in summer while it becomes extreme cold in winters with snowfall.
Educational institutes include Allama Iqbal Open University, Shifa College of
medicines and others. In Islamabad, president official resident, prime
minister’s secretariat, Supreme Court’s building, National assembly building
located. Because of the close proximity Rawalpindi is the sister
city of Islamabad.
