Women in
Pakistan on one are leading a powerful life while on the other hand
leading a poor and miserable life. Status of women is varying from custom to
custom, place to place and class to class. Pakistani government shows its
enlighten and moderate thinking about the women of Pakistan but still there are
some major to take for the well being of Pakistani women.
A
Pakistani woman is not only working in a professional field but also she
is taking care of her family at home. People of Pakistan letting the woman work,
they give respect to woman because Islam teaches us respect to woman. In
Pakistan, women are running business and controlling several important
organizations. Recently, a woman elected as a speaker of National assembly named
“ Fehmida Mirza” she is the first woman in the history of Asia and Islamic World
who became the speaker of national assembly. Likewise in 2005, Dr. “Shamshad
Akhtar” became the governor of State bank of Pakistan; she is the first woman in
Asia and in Islamic world who became the governor of state bank. Benazir Bhutto
was the first woman of the world who elected prime minister twice, she was the
first woman prime minister of Islamic world and Asia. These all facts show that
women in Pakistan have equal opportunities with men. Women are
also taking part in the defense of Pakistan such as, three girls joined in PAF
as cadets and after training they got wings. Sword of Honor, first time won by a
girl in PAF and Pakistan history. Women of Pakistan are serving for
humanity as a doctor, they are playing role in building the better future for
Pakistan by teaching at institutes and Universities. If we see the other side of
picture of Pakistani women, we regret to observe that still women in Pakistan
are facing many difficulties for their survival. They are being the victims of
abuse in Pakistan by several injustice customs, which are forcefully imposed on
them. Government of Pakistan has to think about this kind of injustice, which is
done to the women and it has to be overcome.
