Pakistan Cricket Board is commonly known by its abbreviation PCB. PCB is the responsible official organization that manage and controls all cricket affairs of Pakistan. Pakistan cricket Board got the full time permanent membership of International Cricket Council in the year 1952. Pakistan cricket board was established in the year 1948, that is just one year after the independence of Pakistan. Currently Ijaz Butt is the chairman of Pakistan cricket board. Ad Hoc committee is authorized to elect the controling personnels of Pakistan cricket board. Recently, the hosting of World Cup 2011 has snatched from the Pakistan due to security reservation, Pakistan cricket board strictly protested and condemnd this un justice act of International Cricket Council.
Pakistan hoc represents ad hoc committee of Pakistan cricket board in short PCB. In 1960, first Ad hoc committee was come into being. President of Pakistan, who can nominate the board president, powered that ad hoc committee and the board president can nominate the other Executive committee members for next three years. Executive committee was consisted on four provisional cricket association members and government departments. In 1970s Ad hoc committee was re formed and former Pakistani cricketers, professional administrators and trustee got the power of ad hoc committee. In 1976 Pakistan sport's board took the power of Ad hoc committee. In 1977, ad hoc committee was again re formed and city cricket association and divisional cricket association took the charge. In 1994 third ad hoc committee was formed and the chairman of ad hoc committee was Javed Burki. He made news constitution of cricket board and renamed Cricket control board of Pakistan as "Pakistan cricket board". In 1999, fourth ad hoc committee was formed.
