Lahore is city of Pakistan that is the capital of Province Punjab. It is the cultural hub of Pakistan. It is the second largest city of Pakistan. Usually it is called as "heart of Pakistan". Punjabi is the major language of Lahore after Urdu. Mughals built many historical buildings in Lahore like Shalimar garden, badshahi masjid and Lahore fort. Mausoleums of Noor jahan and emperor Jahangir are also remarkable heritage. Meenar-e-pakistan is the memorial of "Pakistan resolution" that was passed in 1940 by Muslim league leaders and theory of two nations were proposed by Quaid-e-Azam. Lahore meets India at Wahga border. During summer from May to July whether remains hot while during winter from December to February whether remains cold. Heavy rainfalls occur during monsoon season. Popular markets of Lahore are Anarkali, rang mehal, liberty market hafeez market and others. Food Street of Lahore is very popular for traditional Pakistani food, Food Street of Anarkali, Gawalmandi and badshahi. Lahore is the capital of education of Pakistan. It has large numbers of universities and colleges. Punjab University is the oldest university of Pakistan; National college of Arts (NCA) is also a very popular and oldest college of Pakistan regarding arts studies. Lahore University of management science is also an authentic institute of Pakistan regarding business and commerce education. In 2003 in Lahore city, Allama Iqbal airport was built. Lahore city is the cultural place, every year by the start of spring Lahori people celebrate Basant event, Mela Chraghan is also celebrated during Basant. Eid-ul-Fiter, Eid-ul-Adha and Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) are the Islamic biggest events which being celebrated every year with great happiness and enthusiasm. The National Horse and cattle show is also a big event of Lahore. 14 August, Independence Day is celebrated and on 6 September Defense day is celebrated. Gaddafi stadium is the biggest stadium of Pakistan and included in the Asia's biggest stadium's list.
