Mag Urdu: Urdu Magazine Of Pakistan

Word “Urdu” is a Turkic word that means “lashker” (army). Urdu is a very polite language. Urdu is a mixture of several other language it has not its own origin but it is originated by the mixing of Turkic, Persian and Arabic languages. Urdu is the National language of Pakistan and it is 23 official language of India. It has developed during Mughal rule in Hindustan. According to estimation about eighty million native speakers are there who speak Urdu throughout the world. As Urdu is a national language of Pakistan it is well spoken and understood in all areas of Pakistan. It is also included in the primary and secondary studies and it is compulsory on secondary level. In Pakistan large number of newspaper are distributed and published in Urdu language. In India in Muslim majority areas Urdu is well spoken and understood. Several newspaper approximately 23, published in Urdu language. Outside South Asia, people who migrated towards different parts of world due to earn money or for several other reasons they speak Urdu and in this way Urdu is not locked to Pakistan and India. In China, Germany and several other countries Urdu is taught in Universities and schools as a foreign language. In Indo-Pak history of Urdu, several great scholars and intellectuals had been passed that worked for Urdu language and helped in spreading Urdu language by writing and compiling several books in Urdu language. “Maulvi Abdul Haq” is called as the “Baba-e-Urdu” in the memory of his great work for Urdu language. The first poet who wrote a first Urdu poem was “Amir Khusro”. The great poets of Urdu language are Ghalib, Allam Iqbal, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Momin, Mir, Dard and others. Great Urdu Short storywriters are Saadat Hasan Manto, Munshi Premchand, Ismat Chughtai, Krishan Chander, Ghulam Abbas, Qurat-ul-ain Haider, Banu Qudsia, Ashfaq Ahmad and Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi. Other renowned Urdu writer are “Imtiaz Ali TAj” who is the first Novel Writer of Urdu, “Deputy Nazir Ahmad” who is the first Drama Writer of Urdu, Patras Bukhari, Ibn-e-Insha, Mstansar Hussain tarrar and others are the great names of Travel story writing.
