Pakistan full name is the
Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which is located in South Asian region; it is
on sixth number in the list of world’s populous countries, Pakistan’s border
meets India, Afghanistan, China, and Iran. Quad-e-Azam was the founder of
Pakistan; in 1947 Pakistan came into being, and emerged on the map of world as
an independent Nation. Pakistan is divided into four provinces, that are, Sindh,
Balochistan, Punjab and NWFP.
Punjab is the largest province regarding
its population while Balochistan is the largest province regarding its area,
Pakistan’s population is about 16 million. Pakistan is a federal democratic
country, in which government is divided into two parts, that are Central
government that runs the whole government and system of country while the other
is provincial government that runs the system of provinces. Federal government
is basically consists of President, parliament, Prime minister and its cabinet
and Supreme Court. In Pakistan three times, dictatorship controlled the power of
the country but Pakistan is a democratic country. The first Prime minister of
Pakistan was Rana Liaqat Ali Khan, Pakistan is the member of United Nations and
also included in the founders of Organization Of The Islamic Conference (OIC).
Besides OIC Pakistan is also the member of Economic co-operation Organization
(ECO), Developing 8 (D8), South Asian Association for Regional Corporation (SAARC),
in 1998 on 28 May, Pakistan became the seventh nuclear power of world by nuclear
explosions.
Pakistan culture is influenced by
previous history and way of life of Mughals, Pkistan’s national dress is a
Shalwar Qameez for male and female both, National game of Pakistan is Hockey,
National language of Pakistan is Urdu, While in four province of Pakistan
Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi and Pushto are spoken and understood besides Urdu.
Pakistani people are very unique in their food habits and food culture;
different kind of traditional foods are very popular in many parts of the world.
Provincial Folk music is of great importance in Pakistan, most of the Pakistani
people like listening to pop music with mix of Bhangra, Fusion, Ghazal and
Qawali are the traditional music. Usually people live in combine family system,
in major cities life style is very different from that of village life, Urdu
poetry has a great value in Urdu literature, popular most poets are Ghalib,
Allama Iqbal, Mir, Dard, Dagh, Faiz, Ahmad Faraz, Ada Jafery, Amjad Islam Amjad,
Perveen Shakir, Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi, Munir Niazi and etc. Pakistan has great
heritage of previous civilians as ruins of Harrapa, Mohenjo daro, Taxila.
Pakistan also has everything that can attract tourists all over the world.
