Daily Jang is the largest Urdu newspaper of Pakistan, which is read all over the Pakistan and not only in Pakistan but it is also read worldwide. The founder of Daily Jang was Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman as it is published under the flag of Jang group of newspaper; nowadays son of Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman, Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman is running Jang newspaper besides other publications of Jang group. First time it was published in Delhi during the Second World War (1939 to 45) but right after separation of India and Pakistan Mir Khalil-ur-Rehman shifted to Pakistan and continued to publish Jang newspaper from Karachi. At that time Karachi was the capital of Pakistan. In 1958, First Martial law was imposed in Pakistan, right after that Government declared Islamabad as the capital of Pakistan. So in 1959, Mir khalil-ur-rehman started to publish Jang from Islamabad, as well. Jang is published and distributed from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, and Quetta. Jang is also published and distributed from London. This was done by the great efforts of the founder of Jang group Mir Khalil–ur-Rehman.
