Pakistan cricket history
has good and bad memories. In 1952, Pakistan got test status and played
its first test match against India, in Delhi. Pakistan cricket is
powered by Pakistan cricket board (PCB). Pakistan is a member of
International cricket council. Nowadays Shoaib Malick is the captain of
Pakistan cricket team. Pakistan won cricket World cup in 1992
under the captaincy of Imran khan. The last world cup held in West
Indies, where Ireland cricket team knocked out Pakistan and created a
new history by defeating an unpredictable team. After this lost Pakistan
cricket coach Bob Woolmer died due to heart attack. Pakistan captain
Inzamam-ul-haq resigned. After Bob Woolmer, Geoff Lawson took his place
as a cricket coach of Pakistan cricket team. Pakistan produced number of
versatile and magnetic players few name are: Fazal Mehmud, Wasim Akram,
Imran Khan, Abdul Qadir, Hanif Muhammad, Javed Miandaad, Sarfaraz Nawaz,
Aaqib Javed, Waqar Younis, Muhammad Yousuf, Inzamam-ul-haq, Shoaib
Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and others.
In Pakistan, cricket is very
popular game; it is equally popular among young ones and old ones,
men and women. Pakistan women also play cricket in Pakistan but they are
not much popular.
