Pakistan has
four seasons, so according to the season people adopt fashion. Like in
summer, usually people like wearing Lawn, which is a soft and cool kind

they stitch them according to their requirement. Usually “Shalwar
qamiz” is in fashion throughout the year by a common person in
Pakistan. Women like wearing “dupatta” a kind of veil and it’s a

trousers etc. In winter sweaters are in Fashion, different kinds of
jackets, shawls, and caps made up of wool and cotton fabric. Cotton
fabrics are inn in fashion. In spring, weather is not hot not cold.
People like wearing colorful cloths because in Pakistan during spring
season “Basant” is celebrated. Basant is the event of colorful flying
kites. As far as embroidery, it remains inn in fashion through out 12
months in Pakistan, especially during marriage season women make
embroidered dresses and some how embroidered dresses are considered as a
symbol of married woman. Popular wedding dresses are: Lehanga, Gharara,
Chori dar pajama, Sari. Now adays several new fashion designers changed
the meanings of typical Pakistani fashion, jeans are inn in young girls
wardrobes and dupattas are getting out. But on the other hand another
culture is growing up in Pakistan young girls i.e.they are wearing “Abaya”,
which is a long coat used to hide or cover entire body. Famous
fashion female models are:
Iman Ali, Vaneeza, ZQ (Zenab Qayyum), Natasha, Zoyela, Sunita and others. Famous
fashion male models are: Mekal, Aijaz Aslam, Rizwan, Omer, Danial, Ahsan and
others. In hairstyles, people are now well aware of fashion and they
like adopting different and new make over. Usually Men keeps short hair, but due
to the beginning of new era of fashion Men are now keeping long hair with
different styles i.e. with layers and waves etc. Like wise long hair are the
symbol of beauty of women in Pakistan, streaking is very popular among young
girls to acquire different look. Straight hair, joura (folded hair), step hair,
and other different shapes are given to hair according to convenient and
occasion.
