Karcahi University(KU):
University of Karachi (UOK) was established in 1951 in Karachi. It is the largest public university of Pakistan approximately more than 30,000 students are studying at Karachi University. Ranking of karachi university is 42 from certified by HEC and divide the university ranking according to the categories. World ranking out of over 30,000 universities around the world is 546 in 2008. The degree of karachi university is recognize to HEC(Higher education commission) and 130 colleges are affiliated to KU.
Admissions in University of Karachi starts from September and result of the admission in KU announce in December. Classes starts from the first weak of January.

NED University of Engineering and Technology: NED University of Engineering and Technology is the largest University of engineering and technology in Pakistan not only the largest but also it is the oldest engineering and technology University of Pakistan. NED University of Engineering and Technology is located adjacent to the University of Karachi. The main objective of this university is to train engineer professionals for the industrial and technological industries of Pakistan. It is a high standard Pakistan University and it is very difficult to get admission in it. NED University is well recognized and recommended by the HEC (Higher Education Commission). NED University was established in the honour of British Prince, in 1921 during the Britian rule. The first and past name of NED University was Prince of Wales Engineering college but later in 1924 this name was changed and it became Nadirshah Edulji Dinshaw. NED University was under the control of Britian rule but right after the independence government of Sindh, Pakistan took the charge of NED University. Before becoming the part of Sindh government management it was affiliated with University of Bombay, University of Sindh and University of Karachi. NED University is currently offering 4- year Bachelors of Engineering in twenty one(21) different fields of modern engineering and technology, Master of Engineering (M.E) and PHD programs .
