is the largest University of engineering and technology of pakistan not only the largest but also it is the oldest engineering and technology University of pakistan. NED University of Engineering and Technology is located adjacent to the University of Karachi. The main objective of this university is to train engineer professionals for the industrial and technological industries of Pakistan. It is a high standard university of Pakistan and it is very difficult to get addmission in it. NED University is well recognized and recomended by the HEC (Higher Education Commission). NED University was established in the honour of British Prince, in 1921 during the Britian rule. The first and past name of NED University was Prince of Wales Engineering college but later in 1924 this name was changed and it became Nadirshah Edulji Dinshaw. NED University was under the control of Britian rule but right after the independence government of Sindh, Pakistan took the charge of NED University. Before becoming the part of Sindh government management it was affiliated with University of Bombay, University of Sindh and University of karachi. NED University is currently offering 4- year Bachelors of Engineering in twenty one(21) different fields of modren engineering and technology, Master of Engineering (M.Eng) and Ph D programs.
