Short history of ISE is  functional in the year 1989 but till 1992 it was not fully operational and in the year 1992 it became completely operational.

Islamabad Stock Exchange Building, Register Compnies and Members

Current building of Islamabad stock exchange lies at the Fazal ul haq Road. New building is under construction. There is a board of directors that governs the Islamabad stock exchange and it is consisting of ten members among them five are elected members while four are non-members and they are nominated by SECP, managing director is declared as the tenth director of board. Currently there are total 241 companies that are registered at Islamabad stock exchange.
